Auckland Girls’ Lunch, Saturday August 20, 2011

Well, this turned out to be High Tea at up the Sky Tower. Very high tea indeed!

Five of us met for this wonderful afternoon experience. I had never had High Tea before and was very excited, and the Orbit restaurant chefs certainly didn't disappoint.

No-one knew everyone there and it was really special to welcome Viktoria into the group as she is new to the country as well as POF. Doing this while enjoying the wide range of tea choices and delicious nibbles on offer and looking at the great views across the city and the harbour made it a really fun afternoon.

There isn't a lot else to say really, except we had a great afternoon catching up and sharing our experiences. I still think that is the greatest thing this support group does: putting women in touch with others who understand what they are going through. This begins vital conversations that give information and advice you can't get anywhere else. Conversations lead to friendships which empower us to live informed lives and take the best care we can of ourselves.

I love this support group and I want to see it grow and thrive. I love hearing updates from our members, so do keep in touch. And Auckland girls, pop our Christmas lunch in your diary for December 3.

Bye for now!
